well friends
I must say there are those times you cherish and store in the best of times folder in your memory banks. The argus lounge show on febuary 12th is one of those times for me. Spigga is favorite project of mine for many many reasons. As we've decided to transform the recording project into a full live band for this rage enspanol tour i've had my reservations as to how well it really works on stage. Now everybody in the band can play and is very talented, but i'm unable to experience our show fully from the otherside. and never will. anyways this show at a really really cool lounge in sf was the test for me. The www.arguslounge.com is a deep mission street bar completely hidden accept for a really beautiful peacock feather painting on the front. the inside has such a personal touch I felt like my old roommate got crazy creative in the joint. It's a very comfy atmoshpere and yes the booze is flowin and the pool table is in the back so you can escape the crowd as you concentrate on your next shot. another thing of note about the argus lounge is the jukebox... it rocks ass truly. imagine if you owned a jukebox and could put your favorite albums and mixed cd/tapes in. That's whats in there kids... lastly the owners and staff are well, real people. good people and cool enough to let an obnoxious loud, new band come in on a few days notice and play their music.
now why does this gig stick in the mind? It's cause the folks in the bar. from regulars, to the freinds that made it down, to the bands on tour comin through to casey selling our damn cds(thanx so much). to the owner spencer murray(a freind) thanking us for doing the show, when i was certain i should be thanking him.
set was loose and fun, folks were grooving. that's why we do this.
jaswho?
